JFK Memorial Hospital has provided medical care to residents in the Coachella Valley since 1966. A group of physicians, including Dr. Reynaldo Carreon, founded the hospital and today one of JFK's cross streets is named in his honor.Originally called Indio Community Hospital, JFK has grown to a 145-bed acute-care hospital that is part of Tenet Healthcare California. It offers a variety of services, including:
•Emergency care 24/7
•Orthopedic and joint replacement services using emerging technology
•Cardiovascular services
•Maternity care and pediatric services
•Ambulatory surgery center
•Imaging services
•Outpatient Rehabilitation Center
Shift: Days
Hours: 0800-1630
Schedule: 5 shifts per week. Some weekend call required.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Clinical Nurse Manager/Educator (CNM/E) is a Professional Nurse who will assist the
Department Director(s) in the 24-hour responsibility of the day-to-day coordination of and quality of clinical nursing care as well as non-clinical supporting departments for staff and patients both in the hospital and community. He/she manages human resources at the unit level in a cost-effective manner and assists in providing direction in changing workloads during crisis, emergent, and urgent situations. The CNM/E will work with the Department Director(s) in developing, implementing, and/or evaluating appropriate education programs within the hospital and assigned departments; these programs are based on identified needs, quality initiatives, patient population, educational requirements of the staff, and general community education opportunities.
