Position Summary
Responsible for implementing and overseeing all aspects of the quality improvement and patient safety data reporting, analysis and clinical outcomes at the regional, service line and facility levels that align with the regional direction for quality and patient safety. Responsible for an integrated approach to quality and patient safety reporting, analysis and clinical outcomes with the facilities that includes all facets of quality such as Risk Management, Regulatory, Patient Safety, Performance Improvement, and Infection Prevention. Responsible for coordinating activities in: 1) Clinical excellence and patient safety; 2) process improvement and outcomes management; and 3) regulatory readiness. Serves as a resource within Baptist Health System related to clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory and quality improvement issues, and activities related to accreditation. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in healthcare based discipline.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Master's degree from accredited college or university in a healthcare related field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years combined experience in clinical practice, management or administration in a healthcare setting.
- 2 years experience in collaborating with healthcare teams on quality improvement activities.
- 2 years experience in performance improvement experience.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 3 years of combined facilitation of performance improvement activities in coordination with healthcare facility along with project management experience.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: N/A
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or other certification in healthcare quality. License in a clinical discipline, strongly preferred.
