JOB DESCRIPTION:The Group Vice President of Business Development is a leader responsible for driving strategic growth and market expansion across affiliated access points in Palm Beach including - hospitals, physician offices, imaging centers, freestanding ERs / micro-hospitals, urgent cares, and physical therapy. This individual will set and execute against key growth targets, oversee execution of complex business initiatives, and drive organic growth in surgical, admission, and transfer/EMS related care across Palm Beach Health Network hospitals. The role includes utilizing data to identify growth opportunities across our network, leading a high-performing business development team- helping them align key priorities, and working closely with strategic partners to drive key growth initiatives across the market.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS
- Strategic Growth & Market Expansion
- Develop and execute a high-impact business development strategy across sites to achieve ambitious revenue and market share goals.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new market opportunities, partnerships, and service expansions with a focus on long-term profitability.
- Conduct data-driven market and competitive analyses to guide strategic decision-making and ensure proactive positioning in dynamic markets.
- Support the market's strategic project portfolio, ensuring initiatives are prioritized based on strategic fit and ROI.
- Drive accountability for the strategic plan by defining, monitoring, and reporting on KPI's and metrics.
- Partnerships & Affiliations
- Identify and help secure high-value partnerships and affiliations that strengthen the organization's competitive advantage.
- Serve as the primary executive liaison to strategic partners, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Build and strengthen relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including public and private partners to drive impact.
- Manage implementation and execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with strategic partners to improve/increase access and drive market share
- Network Development Leadership
- Lead business development teams across locations and service lines, setting clear performance expectations and holding teams accountable for results.
- Establish aggressive growth targets and track performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to exceed goals.
- Drive high-level client acquisition and retention strategies, building long-term relationships with key accounts.
- Identify gaps in network integrity in the market and identify/execute on solutions to help retain patients in our network
- Operational & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Operations, Marketing, Finance, and other key functions to ensure successful implementation of business development initiatives.
- Facilitate executive level discussions and reviews to track progress, resolve issues, and ensure alignment on strategic priorities.
- Standardize business development processes and reporting across all locations to maintain consistency and accountability.
- Team Leadership & Talent Development
- Directly manage a team of business development leaders, responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, and conducting performance reviews.
- Develop and coach staff to ensure high performance, accountability, and professional growth.
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all levels of the business development organization.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field; MBA strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in business development or strategy, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven ability in data-driven decision making - proven ability to leverage data to drive impact
- Demonstrated success leading teams in successful implementation of business development/growth initiatives
- Clear experience / success in maintaining and expanding on client/partner relationships
- Strong track record of exceeding revenue goals and driving strategic growth initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Experience in [industry-specific sector, e.g., healthcare, retail, hospitality, services] preferred.
- Travel in market required. Selected candidates will be required to pass a Motor Vehicle Record check
