Description
2026 Summer InternDepartment Details:
KP Insight supports the enterprise data and analytics strategy at Kaiser Permanente by delivering on the department's strategic priorities including increasing speed to insight, enabling enterprise strategy development and execution, supporting affordability, and organizing the KP analytics ecosystem.
Internship Projects:
The position will contribute to managing projects that build and enhance enterprise-wide data assets, strengthening the organization-s business intelligence and analytics capabilities.

Databricks & Data Architecture - basic knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ability to navigate through data architecture and basic experience with Databricks as a cloud-based data platform.
Communication - be comfortable with engaging team members across the entire project team which includes business SMEs, IT, Prod Support and Data Modeling, communicating with downstream users of various data products, and engaging with teams, SMEs and products owners as clients or business partners.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Contributing to a designated project or initiative to meet a KP business objective.
- Report development and analytics.
- Project management - planning, execution, and measurement.
- Learning new applications needed to complete assignments or support the execution of business objectives.
- Job shadowing in other functional areas.
- Performing additional duties as required.

Education
- Pursuing a bachelors degree or have graduated from an accredited university within the last year.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

Additional Requirements:
- Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3.0 GPA or above.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.
