The EpicCare Clinical Ancillaries Manager will have oversight of the national Radiant, Optime and Beaker applications. Responsible for overall customer satisfaction for those using information system applications. Accountable for the coordination of applicable applications and projects including management, evaluation, and utilization of staff. The Manager will work collaboratively with system users and technical resources, and participates in the definition of requirements, implementation, evaluation and ongoing first line support of systems. The Manager will stay current in applicable operational practices and will incorporate this knowledge into system planning and deployment.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manages and provides production support for assigned applications. Works with clients to ensure that systems are properly utilized and lead collaborative efforts with other departments and personnel to identify and resolve production issues
  • Owns national vendor relationships and ensures appropriate support and functionality from vendor supplied solutions
  • Leads, recruits and retains professional staff to support customers in clinical/operational environments
  • Works closely with the project director and other managers to coordinate activities, manage project-related issues, risks and changes
  • Reviews the progress of the project on an ongoing basis with the Director of Enterprise Applications
  • Provides project leadership and oversight for EpicCare Ambulatory
  • Oversees departmental budget for areas of responsibility
  • Evaluates team structure, approaches, techniques, standards, and best practices
  • Designs, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and maintains operational processes to support clinical/operational applications and works with the Service Desk to ensure data capture for user trend analysis. Establishes and maintains a cross-training program for production support staff
  • Works with project teams to insure knowledge transfer from development to support staff and ensures smooth transition into ongoing production support
  • Assists in formulating and administering policies and procedures relative to the IT department. Performs continuous review to insure operational compliance and adherence to operational needs
  • Maintains an awareness and understanding of technological advances, vendor product offerings and issues
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Information Systems or Healthcare
  • 5+ years of staff supervision
  • Ability to manage and direct professional staff
  • Experience in project management
  • Healthcare clinical/operational or Information Systems experience in ambulatory care settings
  • Solid understanding of healthcare business process and technology
  • Solid understanding of clinical/operational workflows and terminology

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with community connect implementations
  • Epic certification/proficient in at least one application, EpicCare Ambulatory
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $94,500 to $171,700.
