Principal SDET Automation Engineer (Cloud) - Pharmacy Network - 2332090\EMPLOYER: Optum Services Inc.
JOB TITLE: Principal SDET Automation Engineer (Cloud)- Pharmacy Network
LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)
DUTIES: Define and establish comprehensive test strategies, including automation, performance, and security testing, ensuring coverage across all application layers. Architect and implement scalable, maintainable test automation frameworks seamlessly integrating with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing. Evaluate, select, and implement industry-leading testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies. Lead initiatives to enhance testing efficiency, increase test coverage, and improve quality metrics by introducing new methodologies, and integrating cutting-edge tools and technologies. Follow advancements in AI, technology, and market trends to maintain a competitive edge. Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and SQA teams to ensure alignment on testing strategies and approaches. Design and implement performance and security testing frameworks, seamlessly incorporating them into the overall SQA process. Define, monitor, and report on key quality metrics, including defect density, test coverage, automation effectiveness, and overall release quality. Participate in design and architectural discussions, ensuring testing considerations are included early in the software development process. Leverage expertise in state-specific Medicaid business processes and regulatory requirements to design tailored testing approaches that meet unique state needs. Implement risk-based testing approaches, focusing resources on critical areas impacting software quality, and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on defects to prevent recurrence. Provide leadership and mentorship to the entire SQA team, fostering expertise and promoting best practices. Supervise direct reports. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S.
REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering or related field and 8 years of experience in the job offered or in a technology-related occupation. Position requires 8 years of experience in the following: Software Development and Automation testing for non-Ui based applications; Test automation frameworks technologies including Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG; Performance testing tools including JMeter or LoadRunner; UI automation frameworks and API testing tools including Selenium, Cypress, Postman and REST Assured; Monitoring tools including Dynatrace, Azure Monitor Log analytics and application insights for tracking and analyzing test results; Docker and Kubernetes; Software quality assurance tools including Atlassian Jira, TestRail, Jenkins, HP Quality Center, and Confluence; and Programming languages including Java, Python, or JavaScript.
RATE OF PAY: $145,018.00-$182,490.00/per year
