Job Summary
Full Time, Days
Position Summary:
Responsible for the administrative and clinical aspects of Surgical Services to include organizing, developing, directing and assuring the deliverance of cost effective, quality patient care. Ensures that patient care on Surgical Services is performed in accordance with established Hospital, State licensing, Joint Commission and other applicable regulatory agency policies, procedures and standards.
Responsibilities
1. Develops unit and or product line specific, Patient Care Programs, policies and procedures that describe how patient care needs or patient populations receiving care are assessed, evaluated and met.
2. Develops and implements the unit based plan for providing patient care to those requiring care.
3. Fosters a professional environment.
4. Implements an effective, ongoing program to Surgical Services.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Minimum: Associate Degree in Nursing or related field.
Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Nursing or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Two years experience in health care management and two years experience in clinical related specialty.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:
Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Managerial experience - able to relate to a large variety of individuals.

Delray Medical Center, part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a 536-bed acute care hospital spanning 30 acres, employing over 1,700 employees, 700 physicians and serving southern Palm Beach County for over 40 years. As both a community hospital and state-designated Level I Trauma Center, Delray Medical Center offers several specialized services including advanced cardiac and vascular facilities, orthopedics, neurosciences, emergency care and weight-loss surgery. Pinecrest Rehabilitation and Outpatient Hospital at Delray Medical Center is the only state designated brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation program in the county by the State of Florida.
