Description:2026 Summer Intern
Location:
This internship role is scheduled to be flexible. Please be prepared to spend part of your time working remotely and part of your time working at the following address: 99 S Oakland St, Pasadena, CA, 91101.
Department Details:
Application Platform engineering is accountable for the hosting platform for KP.org and managing all the environments that support the application development and testing. Part of the role is to provide application load balancing, hosting services, certificate management services, Web Application Firewall, and edge caching for content delivery. Another arm of the department is to offer an end-to-end environment support.
Internship Projects:
The intern will be accountable for developing dashboards for the utilization of Akamai services. The incumbent will help account for and consolidate all automation under one umbrella to track and modernize.
Target Majors:
Computer Science; Math/Statistics
Target Skillset:
Exposure to modern scripting, working knowledge of websites, and mobile applications. Knowledge of any tools to support code scanning, security, and compliance.

- Pursuing a bachelors degree or have graduated with a Bachelors degree from an accredited university within the last year.

- Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
