Description
Become a part of our caring community and help us put health firstThe Care Management Support Assistant 2 contributes to administration of care management. Provides non-clinical support to the assessment and evaluation of members' needs and requirements to achieve and/or maintain optimal wellness state by guiding members/families toward and facilitate interaction with resources appropriate for the care and wellbeing of members. The Care Management Support Assistant 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.
The Care Management Support Assistant 2 decisions are typically focused on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.
- Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction.
- Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.
- Must reside in the Schaumburg/Chicago IL area to attend meetings in the local Market Office (see additional information)

Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of administrative support experience in the healthcare industry
- Customer Service Experience in the Health Care industry
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs specifically, Word, Excel, Outlook
- Familiarity with Medical terminology
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's Degree.
- Bilingual a plus.
- Previous experience working with Medicaid, Long Term Care, or Medicare members.
Additional Information
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility to work overtime as needed. No weekend or holiday shifts are required.
- Work Location: Schaumburg, Illinois
- Work Style: Hybrid - This role includes remote work from home with in-office attendance required 2 to 3 days per week.
- Travel Requirements: Regular in-office presence is expected 2 to 3 days per week. No additional travel is required beyond scheduled onsite attendance.
Work-at-Home (WAH) Internet Statement
To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:
- At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
- Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.
- Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
- Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
- Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Language Assessment Statement

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$42,900 - $54,300 per year
