Growing together.We are seeking a Board-Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) to join our dynamic clinical pharmacy team. This fully remote role supports oncology-focused utilization management, fraud detection, and patient care initiatives for a federal client. You will play a critical role in ensuring appropriate, evidence-based use of oncology therapies while supporting regulatory compliance and optimizing patient outcomes at both the population and individual patient levels.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, core hours based on time zone
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate complex oncology regimens, high-cost specialty medications, and atypical prescribing patterns for clinical appropriateness
- Provide subject matter expertise in oncology pharmacy to internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
- Participate in the development and refinement of oncology clinical criteria, workflows, and program enhancements
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary fraud and compliance team to triage flagged cases and escalate those requiring clinical expertise
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) for system updates and clinical decision support tools across the program
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of primarily oncology treatment guidelines, emerging therapies, and FDA approvals
- Conduct clinical reviews of oncology-related prior authorization requests and other nonformulary medications, ensuring alignment with evidence-based guidelines, benefit design, and regulatory requirements
- Perform retrospective drug utilization reviews of injured persons as part of Optum's Clinical programs to include advice on medications and treatment plans (based on review of medical case notes and medication list) to improve outcomes and avoid potential drug interactions

Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted, U.S. pharmacist license in state of residence
- Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP)
- 3+ years of clinical oncology pharmacy experience
- Proven solid understanding of oncology treatment protocols, specialty pharmacy operations, and utilization management
- Proven excellent communication, critical thinking, and documentation skills
- Ability to be comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA) detection or compliance programs
- Demonstrated familiarity with federal regulations, especially as they relate to oncology medications
- Experience supporting federal or state healthcare programs (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, DOL, VA)
- Proficiency with MS Office products including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS
- Experience in managed care, PBM, and/or health plan setting

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
