Kaiser Permanente Internship ProgramLocation:
This internship role is scheduled to be flexible. Please be prepared to spend part of your time working remotely and part of your time working at the following address: 3495 Piedmont Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30305.
Department Description:
The Strategy and Managerial Consultant team is responsible for designing and solutioning of transformational programs and initiatives for Kaiser Permanente Georgia (KPGA). In partnership with Business Leaders, the consultants identify and solve issues related to KPGA's most critical strategic challenges across a variety of functional areas (e.g. care management, medical cost reduction, growth, hospital strategy).
Intern Project(s):
Leverage data analytics, functional area expertise, and stakeholder input to help identify and solve opportunities to capture value and ultimately increase revenue and savings for KPGA. The expectation of this role is to work in an entrepreneurial fashion in order to help generate hypotheses, conduct initial data analysis and evaluate hypothesis, and work with the team to develop predicted timelines for each hypothesis / initiative.

Target Skills:
Drives innovation, agility and automation through experimentation with new metrics and concepts to track actuals as initiatives move through development to implementation, constantly seeking ways to reduce inefficiencies.
Spearheads development of status update documentation and refinement, taking into account each stakeholder's unique needs and desired visibility level.
Supports value targeting and implementation responsibilities. Conducts data analysis to determine the viability of opportunities, validates & refines hypotheses, drives solutioning, and quantifies hypothesis timelines.
Reports progress, risks and identifies analytics improvements to support remediation of impediments and blockers to the Managerial Consulting Senior Director.
Develops and delivers written and verbal presentations, briefings, and other communications in a compelling, visually driven, concise and informative manner.
Job Summary:
The Intern will gain hands on experience within an assigned department by working in various roles on closely monitored work assignments. The scope and depth of the roles will be appropriate for the organization, and suitable for the Interns educational background, interests, and experience.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform a functional team role in one or more assignments during the internship period.
- Learn the major functions of a departmental assignment through guided hands on work in various areas, and interaction with others.
- Attend and actively participate in internship group meetings, discussions, and events.
- Provide constructive feedback to the department, human resources, and school about how the Kaiser internship can be enhanced for future interns.
Experience
- Minimum three (3) months work experience.
Education
- High school diploma OR General Education Development (GED) required AND presently taking higher education level courses.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum one (1) year prior work experience in a professional environment.
- Major closely related to department or area of internship (ex. Marketing or Communications for Sales Internships, HR for Human Resources internships, any Health occupations or Health Management, etc.).
- Enrollment in a related four (4) year program of study or enrollment in related graduate studies.

Pay Range: $19.23 - $24.85 / hour Kaiser Permanente is committed to pay equity and transparency. The posted pay range is based on possible base salaries for the role and does not include the value of our total rewards package. Actual pay determined at offer will be based on years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills and geographic location along with a review of current employees in similar roles to ensure that pay equity is achieved and maintained across Kaiser Permanente. Travel: No Flexible: Work location is on-site at a KP location, with the flexibility to work from home. Worker location must align with Kaiser Permanente's Authorized States policy.
