We are currently recruiting for Spring 2025 and Fall 2025 graduates. Piedmont Medical Center is seeking newly graduated Registered Nurses to join our Critical Care team, including Surgical Trauma and Intensive Care Units. This role is designed for nurses who are passionate about delivering high-quality care to patients with complex medical and surgical needs. New graduates will be supported through a structured residency program that includes clinical mentorship, classroom instruction, and hands-on training.

Piedmont Medical Center is a full-service hospital providing healthcare services to York County, South Carolina and surrounding areas since 1983. The 288-bed facility has advanced equipment and experienced healthcare staff catering to the diverse needs of the community. In September 2022, Piedmont Medical Center - Fort Mill opened the doors to a 100-bed facility featuring a 24/7 Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, Medical/Surgical Unit, and a wide array of Surgical Services and Women's Services.
Our New Graduate RN Residency offers innovative curriculum delivered through a comprehensive 12-month program focused on creating a solid foundation at the start of your nursing profession. We designed an environment to help you develop delegation and priority setting skills, holistic patient care through interdisciplinary communication and establishment of valuable professional relationships. You will have the opportunity to experience different shifts, patient populations, and unit cultures in the most beautiful locations in South Carolina.
Responsibilities:
Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients
Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and lab results
Administer medications and manage intravenous therapies
Assist with procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and wound care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
Respond to emergency situations, including code blue and rapid response
Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner
Participate in ongoing education and training through the residency program
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ASN or BSN) from an accredited program
Active RN license or eligibility to obtain prior to start date
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred or required within six months of hire
No prior RN experience required
