What You Do
- Perform comprehensive actuarial services to MMA's multiemployer health funds
- Perform analysis and interpretation of medical, pharmacy drug and ancillary health care data
- Perform, manage and review budget forecasts and financial projections
- Pricing and modeling of plan design changes utilizing experience and/or manual rating techniques
- Responsible for vendor relationships, negotiations and renewal analysis
- Help prepare and coordinate RFP's and analysis of vendor proposals
- Assist lead consultants with preparation for Board meetings, trade shows and potentially finalists presentations
- When necessary, aid in requesting/creating open enrolment materials, submission requests to marketing communication team for the benefit guide, etc.
- Conduct analysis and various reports to describe results
- Work on ad-hoc projects, benefit guides, and reports
- Collaborate with MMA's shared services (i.e. population health, Springbuk, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with regulatory expertise within multiemployer space
- Other duties as assigned
Your Education and Experience
Required
- Life and Health License must be obtained within 75 days of the first day of New Hire Onboarding
- Understanding and skilled at all basic computer and technology tools
- Demonstrated presentation skills for effective communication both verbal and written with the ability to influence external and internal clients.
- Excellent administrative skills, especially in MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Must be willing to travel as required
- Extremely Detailed and Organized
- Sense of urgency and works well under pressure
- Analytical - technically oriented
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Self-confident

The applicable base salary range for this role is $63,200 to $117,900.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
