Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to assist the Director in planning, supervising, and controlling the daily technical activities of the diagnostic section of Imaging Services. Assists with supervising, directing, and evaluating the activities of the staff. Responsible for setting standards and evaluating the quality and effectiveness of care delivered. Has administrative responsibility for assigned departments and for program development within the Department. Work in collaboration with Imaging Director. The individual plans, coordinates, and maintains the Performance Improvement program for Imaging Services as well as supervising the quality control testing of equipment and accessories used in the department. Continually pursue the development of programs and services to increase service utilization by physicians and patients.
Responsibilities
- Directs and supervises the daily technical activities in the diagnostic section of Imaging Services. Monitors equipment operation, repair status, performs and evaluates quality control equipment and accessories
- Supervises the radiation monitoring program
- Plans, coordinates, and maintains the Performance Improvement program for Imaging Services.
- Over sees all upgrades of the radiology information system by the PACS/RIS employees
- Performs duties as assigned.
- Required:
- Education: Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology school with a Bachelor's degree or working towards a Bachelor's degree
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of radiologic experience
- Licensure/Certification:
- ARRT registry is required
- SCRQSA certification is required
- American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
