Growing together.Under the general direction of the Administrator and Business Service Manager the Patient Account Analyst is primarily responsible for verifying insurance benefits and eligibility as presented by the patient. This position also obtains and regulates all authorizations and ensures the patients are processed in a timely fashion to start course of treatment. This position is also responsible for patient account inquiries/requests and payment postings for payments made at the site under departmental protocols within business services, pre- AR, and financial assistance planning. Crucial communications with the patient (on the phone or at site), with clinical team members, and/or physicians are required with this position, collection of additional information on patient accounts may be required to process claims both internally and externally as needed to include coding and compliance according to CPC regulations.

For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited program
- 3+ years in similar field involving insurance verification, 3rd party payors, patient accounts and business office functions
- Customer service experience
- Windows computer skills
- ICD 9- 10 and CPT minimum 1+ years of coding experience in global billing
- Good knowledge of managed care contracts
- Basic knowledge of health insurance
- Type 30 wpm
- Demonstrated clear communication skills
- Demonstrated fast and accurate data entry skills
- CPC
- EPIC Experience preferred but not required, will train onsite
- Knowledge of insurance, billing and collection concepts and theory
- Insurance verification and business office functions preferred to be in the physician practice setting
