Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is seeking a EMERGENCY ROOM NURSING SUPERVISOR that will be responsible for providing leadership to the front line staff in collaboration with the Nursing Manager or Nursing Director. Serves as a conduit between the front-line nursing employees and managers for the purpose of facilitating communication, overseeing orientation of new team members in collaboration with the Clinical Educators, and evaluating clinical practice with a particular focus on quality and performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop ER nursing staff
Manage day-to-day operations, staffing, and workflow coordination
Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluations
Monitor quality metrics and drive performance improvement
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and infection prevention standards
Provide clinical support as needed (charge or direct care)
Foster a team-oriented environment focused on patient care, safety, and experience
Conduct rounding, provide feedback, and support staff engagement and retention
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
Current Texas RN license
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC certifications
CPI certification required
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Basic computer proficiency
