The National Sales team leads Kaiser Permanente-s largest and most strategic growth efforts, focused on winning new membership from enterprise-scale organizations with 3,000 benefit-eligible employees across multiple markets. We drive KP-s most complex new logo pursuits, partnering closely with executives, regional markets, and cross-functional teams to bring innovative, market-shaping strategies to life.
We operate with a bold, -outside-in- mindset-grounding our work in the real needs and expectations of prospects and channel partners. Known for creative first-ever approaches and challenging legacy thinking, we bring rigorous sales discipline that strengthens KP-s presence in the national market and fuels sustainable long-term growth. As brand ambassadors and change agents, we earn trust and credibility across the organization and with large employers, helping position KP as the partner of choice for the country-s most influential companies.
Internship Projects:
Prospect Intelligence & Strategy Automation
As a National Sales intern, you-ll help elevate our enterprise prospecting strategy by building the next
generation of research tools and insight-driven prospect plans. Your work will directly support Sales Executives pursuing KP-s largest, most strategic prospects.
You will:
Conduct market, industry, and prospect research using business reports, financial documents, benefit strategies, public filings, press releases, analyst insights, and online sources to uncover trends, opportunities, and signals relevant to national employers.
Synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights that help shape sales strategy, influence pursuit decisions, and strengthen our understanding of each prospect-s needs and pressures.
Develop reusable AI-powered research tools, such as custom agents or Copilot prompts, that can repeatedly gather and refresh prospect intelligence at scale.
Design automated outputs that translate research findings into ready-to-use materials for Sales Executives-examples include Salesforce prospect plans, executive summaries, pursuit briefs, competitive snapshots, and case review content.
Improve the speed, consistency, and depth of how our team captures and updates prospect intelligence across multiple markets.
Collaborate directly with Sales Executives and National Sales leadership to understand what -great- looks like in a world-class pursuit process and ensure your tools support real sales workflows.
Outcome:
By the end of the internship, you will deliver a library of automated, AI-supported research resources and a set of high-quality prospect plans that materially enhance our ability to compete for-and win-KP-s most complex enterprise opportunities.
