The Medical Records Retrieval Representative (Risk Adjustment Representative 3) retrieves medical records from provider offices for a variety of reviews and audits through various retrieval methods.

Responsibilities

• Travel up to 25% of the time, and will consist of driving to locations close to your home, as well as driving to locations that require overnight travel for up to a week at a time
• Use a laptop computer and a portable scanner to retrieve medical records which will be uploaded into a database
• Schedule appointments and visits to physician offices in a timely, efficient manner to meet all deadlines
• Be able to independently troubleshoot technology and equipment while in the field

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience working in administrative, office or support in a healthcare environment
• Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) in either a clerical or clinical environment
• Must have reliable transportation
• This role is part of Humana's driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and are expected to maintain personal vehicle liability insurance. Individual must carry vehicle insurance in accordance with their residing state minimum required limits, or $25,000 bodily injury per person/$25,000 bodily injury per event /$10,000 for property damage or whichever is higher.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
• Demonstrated organizational skills
• Working knowledge of computers, or a demonstrated technical aptitude and an ability to quickly learn new systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or higher education
• Demonstrated ability to articulate ideas effectively in both written and oral forms
• Strong analytical and time management skills
• Ability to foster relationships

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
