Growing together.The Medical Technologist will be responsible for performing routine testing for use in the treatment and diagnosis of disease using standard techniques and laboratory instrumentation. Interpret and verify patient results. Monitor laboratory instrumentation utilizing calibration standards and quality controls and recording these in the Orchard LIS.
1st shift 8:30 to 5:00 PM, 2nd shift 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, must work 1st or 2nd shift or both and be willing to work every 3rd Saturday 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Flexibility to work both shifts is available. This is a 24 hour per week position and 32 hour week every 3rd week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Upkeep, maintenance, calibration, and performance of all laboratory instrumentation and equipment
- Follows established procedures for specimen testing, including accurate record keeping
- Enters and verifies patient test results into Orchard
- Maintains accurate Quality Control records, ensuring that control parameters fall within acceptable ranges when they are run and before the release of patient results
- Recognizes trends and patterns in control and patient results and brings this information to the attention of a supervisor for appropriate action
- Maintains work area in clean and organized manner, according to OSHA standards. Disposes of contaminated materials and maintains appropriate logs
- Inventories supplies and reagents. Places supply needs on board as needed so Supervisor can order
- Assumes responsibility for self-improvement, in collaboration with supervisor, by identifying and seeking resources to meet own learning needs
- Remains current with professional material for continuing education purposes
- Follows HIPAA regulations
- Maintains effective, positive customer service relationships by responding to customer needs in a polite and timely manner

Required Qualification:
- Medical technologist (ASCP) or equivalent (EX: NCA, HEW)
- Generalist experience
- Chemistry/immunology, Hematology, Urinalysis, co-ag, molecular testing experience
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $23.89 to $42.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
