• Assesses, initiates and documents patient care based on initial assessment and reassessment through
the continuum of care
• Identifies need for education of patient, family and/or significant other and provides education and
discharge planning through individualized instruction, the use of written materials and/or other
available resources.
• Assigns nursing care to licensed staff and delegates nursing care to unlicensed staff and coordinates
flow of work
• Coordinates and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members in the planning and management
of patient care
This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under minimal supervision, provides nursing care for a group of patients assigned to the nurse based on matching the patients' needs with the nurse' competencies. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Education:
Required: Graduated from a state approved school of nursing or an accredited school.
Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing
Experience:
Preferred: Recent acute care experience.
Certifications:
Required: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy; CPR. AHA BLS, and if applicable by corporate policy for unit of hire, AHA ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP.
