Description
Position Summary:The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) serves as the clinical expert for assigned Nursing areas. The n urse practitioner works collaboratively with medical staff and assists with the treatment of both acute and chronic conditions through comprehensive history taking, physical exams, physical therapy, ordering tests and therapies for patients within their scope of practice. The ARNP ensures continuity between clinical practice and standards of care. They also facilitate patient preparation for procedures, reaching plan of care goals, and all other patient care initiatives progressing towards discharge. This individual works collaboratively with all health care disciplines utilizing a team approach.
