OptumCare Cancer Care, a division of OptumCare Nevada, is committed to offering patients compassion, innovation, and high quality care. The group is headquartered in the greater Las Vegas, NV area.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Navigate patient through the medical system to meet their needs.
- Demonstrate knowledge of or ability to learn and apply job functions
Demonstrate good communication skills, excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills. Must possess computer skills, window based applications, organization skills - Compliance with customer services standards, billing functions to include patient check in/out process, cash handling, scheduling and entering appointments, impanelment and insurance information
- Collection and documentation of patient information to include vital signs, chief compliant, review of medications, allergies health risk screen information and other services
- Participates in the monitoring of patients with chronic disease. Ensure patients meet post hospital visit requirements, medication refills and follow up appointments
- Responsible for compliance requirements such as laboratory QC management, waive testing, maintenance of crash cart and drug count, as well as other requirements dictated by clinic needs
- Provides clinical intervention, such as drug administration, treatments, and procedures as ordered by provider and within scope of practice
- Follow standard protocols, processes, and policies to include but not limited to the following: Medication Refill, Preventative Services, Managing Conditions, and Disease Case Management as signed by department head or designee
- Other duties as assigned to include, but not limited to, assisting coworkers, float to other areas and training of Medical Assistants

Required Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted NV LPN license or temporary NV LPN license with the ability to obtain permanent NV LPN license upon expiration of temporary NV LPN license
- CPR certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- 1+ years of clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience charting in Electronic Medical Records
- Oncology experience
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.38 to $36.44 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
