Job Summary
- Provides individualized, culture-specific patient care by attending to the personal needs and comfort of patients, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists the professional or licensed nurse as delegated in tasks requiring less technical skills.
- Participates in shift and bedside report. Participates and supports regional, facility, department, and unit initiatives.
- Special Skill:
- Excellent customer service skills; basic computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors and health care team members.
- Knowledge of patient rights, aseptic/sterile technique and infection control best practices.
- Minimum Requirements:
- Education:
- High School Diploma/GED or a valid CNA or PCA/PCT Certificate
- EKG training in selected units.
- Certifications/Licensure: CPR
- Education:
- Preferred Requirements:
- Experience: One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting.
- Certifications/Licensure: CNA/LNA from the Arizona State Board of Nursing
