The Patient Care Technician (PCT) assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to support the physical, emotional, and social needs of the patient. Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). The PCT also serves as a clinical preceptor to Nursing Assistants and other PCTs, is cross-trained to support the Unit Associate role, and assists in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized unit environment. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

High School diploma, GED or equivalent.

License/Certification:

Preferred:

Certified Nursing Assistant certification from an approved program, Florida-issued CNA license.

Required: BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) must be obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer into role date.
