Description: As a part time, nonexempt, Pharmacy Technician at Old Vineyard Behavioral Health you will assist in various pharmacy activities, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and other duties not requiring the review of a pharmacist. The majority of tasks and responsibilities are related to preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications. Other duties include maintaining patient records, and setting up, packaging, and labeling of medication doses and billing. You will perform job duties under minimal supervision within pharmacy standards, written procedures and guidelines, and state regulatory requirements.

Schedule: This position is scheduled to work three weekends a month both Saturday and Sunday, from 8:00AM to 2:30PM and provide additional coverage as needed and as available.

About the Facility: Old Vineyard Behavioral Health facility is a 162 bed acute inpatient psychiatric facility servicing adult, geriatric & adolescent patients. The facility is located on a beautiful, spacious campus in Winston-Salem, provides intensive and individualized treatment to help adolescents and adults, providing a relaxing and comforting environment for patients, families, and staff. Old Vineyard's specially trained staff, including psychiatrists, licensed therapists, psychologists, 24-hour nurses and BA/BS direct-care counselors, are committed to serving each patient with compassion and quality care.

About the Pharmacy: The Pharmacy hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 4:30PM; Saturday and Sunday from 8:00AM to 2:30PM. This facility utilizes Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Preparing and dispensing medication
• Maintaining patient records
• Billing

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current North Carolina pharmacy technician registration in good standing
• Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy
• Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
• Proven effective communication skills: verbal and written

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.15 to $28.80 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
