This position is located at Framingham Union Hospital. We are seeking a full-time physical therapist in our rapidly growing outpatient clinic with the opportunity to also participate in inpatient services.
MetroWest Medical Center is the largest community health care system between Worcester and Boston. MetroWest Medical Center is committed to providing high quality, comprehensive care, at a location close to home. The 307-bed regional healthcare system includes Framingham Union Hospital and Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick.
Onboarding Process: Please be advised that candidates must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment health screening which includes a drug screen.
Position Summary:
Evaluates, plans, and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of physical therapy. Functions as an interdisciplinary team member providing patient assessment/re-assessment, direct patient care, and individualized care planning/implementation.
Responds to physician orders for physical therapy. Administers and interprets tests and measurements of patients. Reviews patient charts and progress prior to treatment and modifies treatment plan accordingly. Develops functional goals based on patient and/or family expectations. Develops, improves, and restores functional mobility, seeking to return patient to highest level of independence. Seeks clarification of physician orders as needed.
Qualifications:
Required: Bachelors, Master's Degree or Doctorate Physical Therapy
Preferred: Previous experience in the outpatient setting, however, new graduates are welcome.
Certifications:
Required: State Licensure
Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
