Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is actively recruiting a Physician's Assistant to assist in the Orthopedic Clinic alongside a busy Orthopedic surgeon. The job combines independent and collaborative practice in the office and assisting with surgery in the hospital and ambulatory surgery setting. Qualified candidates must be available between the hours of 8a-5p and will require weekend phone On Call coverage. On Call duties are evenly split amongst the group of PAs. There is some autonomy according to the level of experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the orthopedic surgeons in the clinic setting
- Conducting new and existing patient orthopedic examinations
- Developing treatment plans, adjusting and prescribing medications
- Performing in-clinic procedures, conducting pre-operative assessments
- Explaining the surgical procedure to the patient
- Assisting the orthopedic surgeon in the OR on an as needed basis and conducting hospital rounds

Required Qualifications:
- Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Current Licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners OR Licensed Physician Assistant by the Texas State Medical Board
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency
Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $113,000 - $173,500. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
