Job Summary
Up to $25,000 Sign-On bonus for experienced Registered Nurse / RN
Shift: Nights
Job Type: Full Time
Hours: 1900-0730
Position Summary:
The RN II: Assumes principle responsibility for the total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all Emergency Department patient populations. Independently anticipates professional responsibilities and accepts accountability for professional actions. The RN II uses critical thinking skills both in triage and in providing care for all categories and types of Emergency Department Patients. Oversees RN l's, ED Tech's and CNA's. Uses effective verbal and written skills to communicate with people on all levels, and maintains positive working relationships with patients, families, co-workers, and physicians and participates in departmental Performance Improvement activities and monitoring as requested.
Responsibilities
- Current California Registered Nurse License (maintained at all times).
- 1-2 years of ER experience
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (maintained at all times).
- Current American Heart Association ACLS Certification (maintained at all times).
- Current American Heart Association PALS Certification (maintained at all times).
- Current NIHSS Certificate.
- Successful completion of EKG Test.
- Successful mastery of nursing skills and knowledge related to a RN I position
- Basic Computer Skills
- Skills Competencies
- MICN - preferred
- ED Triage Course
- ENPC and TNCC (within 12 months of hire)
- PHTLS (within six (6) months of obtaining MICN Certification)
- CPI Certification every 2 years
- CEN Certification within 18 months of hire - Preferred
