Job Summary

Position Summary
The Professional Registered Nurse gives direct and indirect specialized nursing care to patients after receiving anesthetic agents. The nurse in the post anesthesia role coordinates the care of the patient, is the patient advocate throughout the post operative experience. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and growth and development needs of the patient.
- Develops a plan of care using assessment data. Plan of care is individualized to include specific patient problems and needs.
- Implements nursing plan of care on assigned patients.
- Evaluates the patient's response to nursing interventions and teaching.
- Demonstrates leadership skills.
Qualifications
Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications:
- Florida R.N. licensure
- Basic Life Support
- ACLS
- PALS (preferred)
Minimum Experience:
- One year as a PACU nurse
- One year with ICU/ER experience
