Job Summary
Scottsdale Bariatrics
This is more of an administrative RN position
The Registered Nurse is responsible for patient triage and education, assisting physicians during office hours and follow-up on prescriptions, procedures and tests. Maintain chart documentation to ensure all information about visit is completed and documented correctly.
Responsibilities
- Adheres to the mission, purpose, philosophy, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
- Maintains compliance with the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan, Privacy Standards, and Corporate Code of Conduct.
- Assists in assessing patient needs by recording vital signs, history, medications, and chief complaints for physician review.
- Performs diagnostic tests and prepares equipment for medical treatments, exams, and procedures as directed.
- Collects and prepares lab specimens for transport, including completion of necessary forms and computer entry.
- Administers prescribed oral medications and provides intramuscular and subcutaneous injections.
- Triages patients to identify emergencies, providing immediate support and notifying providers of urgent medical needs.
- Facilitates patient education, teaching, and the development of care protocols and instructional materials.
- Compiles and analyzes medical and operational data to prepare reports for outcomes and program efficacy.
- Ensures accurate data entry into Electronic Health Records and reviews treatment forms to maximize reimbursement.
Education: High school diploma/GED and completion of an accredited nursing program
Certification: Current State RN nursing license. Current CPR certification.
Experience: Must have a minimum of two years of clinical experience working in a physician office
