Per Diem, Nights
Position Summary:
Responsible for the skilled and competent delivery of Respiratory Care Services ordered by a physician in accordance with established protocols set by the facility or other Health care provider in the treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with the Cardiopulmonary system. These services may include but are not limited to: initiation and monitoring of patients receiving continuous mechanical ventilation, noninvasive ventilation to include BIPAP/CPAP therapy, delivery of prescribed medical gases, and aerosol therapy, pulse oximetry for oxygen titration, and administration and monitoring of all respiratory and therapeutic modalities which include aerosolized medications, sputum inductions, chest physiotherapy, and arterial blood gas sampling and analyses.
- EDUCATION:
- Minimum: Associates Degree - Graduate of an AMA respiratory therapist program.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
- EXPERIENCE:
- 2 year Vocational Training in Respiratory Therapy/will train new graduates.
- REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:
Current Florida License as a Respiratory Therapist, NBRC RRT credential, ACLS, BLS, PALS
- OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Skills in EKG, EEG and Holter Monitoring preferred.
