Growing together.Works collaboratively as a senior member of the Business Intelligence & Reporting team under direction of KSC Application Technology Leadership. Supports, develops, and maintains SQL database environments and related technology. Acts as a team member on multi team projects and uses advanced skill set to develop, test, troubleshoot, and support database-related projects and associated solutions/applications. Acts as mentor to others learning essential and advanced SQL-related skills.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Acts as a project lead or team member on multi-team projects. Uses advanced skill set to develop, test, and implement database/environment-related projects and applications. Participates in database-related planning, change control processes, upgrade, testing, and maintenance
- Provides general and specialized SQL database/environment-related support. Researches issues, contacts vendors, and uses specialized skills to aid in problem remediation
- Manages daily operations of assigned database systems and environments. Monitors and maintains uptime and performance data for related database servers, interfaces, and automated processes as required. Acts as mentor to others learning essential and advanced SQL-related skills
- Provides project management of assigned project components. Creates and maintains technical documentation as it relates to SQL database/environment and provides detailed reporting of all project activities to supervisor/manager
- Provides for level 3 support regarding all database issues. Other duties assigned

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical area or equivalent work experience
- 6+ years of experience in SQL database administration
- Advanced technical competency in one or more of the following:
- MS SQL Server Administration
- Indexing strategies and maintenance
- Backup and recovery models
- Clustering and high availability
- Performance Tuning of Hardware & MS SQL Server
- MS SQL Transact SQL Programming (T-SQL)
- Server Monitoring
- Power shell scripting
- Database modeling / normalization
- MS SQL Data Transformation Services Services (SSIS) Administration
- MS SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) Administration
- MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Administration
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree
- SQL database-related work experience in a healthcare industry, large-scale data warehousing, and/or exposure to Epic Systems Clarity
- Advanced certification including:
- MCDBA
- MCTS
- MCITP
- Vendor Certified SQL Administrator
- Other database-related certification/s
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to change
- Proven communication, presentation, analytical, problem solving, technical and writing skills. Candidates must have a positive "can do" attitude and a professional demeanor

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
