Growing together.As a full-time, nonexempt Staff Pharmacist working nights, you'll play a vital role in delivering safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services. This is a hands-on opportunity to make a direct impact by ensuring the accuracy of medication orders, verifying technician-prepared products, and safeguarding controlled substances. You'll contribute to a high-performing team by maintaining seamless daily operations, supporting the Director in optimizing pharmacy performance, and mentoring staff.
About the Facility: Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is a state-of-the-art 456 bed facility featuring the newest technology in the field of patient care. It is host to a 24-hour Emergency Department, Level I Trauma Center, four Family Health Centers, and the only Burn Center serving the San Bernardino, Riverside, Inyo, and Mono counties
About the Pharmacy: Arrowhead provides both Outpatient and Inpatient Pharmacy Services. The Inpatient Pharmacy is open 24/7, 365 days/year, while the Outpatient Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-9:00pm and weekends and holidays from 8:00am-7:30pm. The pharmacies utilize Pyxis, EPIC, and FSI
Schedule: This full-time, nonexempt position will work 32-40 hours/week in a variety of night and evening shifts during the week, weekends, and holidays in this 24/7 pharmacy
Primary Responsibilities:
- Processing orders with accuracy and monitoring for drug interactions
- Ensure pharmacy operations are well maintained
- Respond to Code Blue events
- Cognizant of inventory and controlled substance inventory
- Controlled substance audit and med room audit
You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualifications:
- Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
- Current California Pharmacist license in good standing
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
- Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
- Demonstrated effective communications skills; verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program
Experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting
