- Performs all diagnostic ultrasound procedures correctly demonstrating anatomy and physiology.
- Ensures studies are complete and verified by the radiologist prior to Dismissing patient.
- Performs pelvic, intravaginal, obstetrical, small parts, vascular, breast, and abdominal scans according to policy and procedure.
- Ensures proper use of cleaning materials and procedures for the intra cavity probes and the HLD disinfectant system used and maintaining system logs.
Per Diem, Rotate
Position Summary:
erforms diagnostic Ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician. Direct patient responsibility for geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and neonatal patient care until the patient is returned to his/her room or until outpatient is discharged. Performs daily routine of Sonography procedures and staffing including call (except WBDIC)
Minimum Certificate from accredited program in
Ultrasound Technology.
Preferred: Associate's Degree in Ultrasound Technology
Experience: Thorough knowledge of Ultrasound in all forms of diagnostic technology, terminology, practice, procedure, physiology and human anatomy.
Other Qualifications:
Required Certification/Licensure/Registration:
ARDMS in one or more of the following: Abdomen and/or OB
Vascular licensure from one of the following licensing bodies ARDMS or ARRT
Breast Registry ARDMS - West Boca Diagnostic Imaging Center Requirement.
Breast Registry completed within 1-year of hire.
Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification
