Detroit is a city in the middle of a genuine renaissance - a place where affordable urban living, serious cultural depth, and a tight-knit professional community combine in ways that larger coastal cities simply can't match. The metro area offers outstanding neighborhoods, top-rated suburban school districts, and a cost of living that makes homeownership attainable on a physician's salary. World-class dining, the Detroit Institute of Arts, professional sports across all four major leagues, and easy access to the Great Lakes and northern Michigan's outdoor recreation round out a quality of life that consistently surprises those who haven't been recently.
