Growing together.As the Medical Assistant, you are responsible for providing quality, compassionate care to patients in the clinic setting consistent with Holston Medical Group's quality practice standards, polices, procedures and customer service expectations. As a member of the clinical staff, the Medical Assistant I will proactively participate in identifying the needs of the patients and will implement methodology as directed to improve both patient clinical experience and care. Duties will also include taking vials, data collection, and both written and electronic documentation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, patient-first support by greeting patients, preparing them for exams, recording vital signs, and assisting with clinical needs
- Maintain clean, stocked, and safe exam rooms and clinical areas, including supplies, equipment, instruments, sharps containers, and biohazard materials
- Support patient care coordination by communicating with providers, obtaining authorizations or pre-certifications, sharing lab results, and enrolling patients in myHMG as directed
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of personnel information and patient PHI
- Participate in team operations through meetings, training, mentoring new staff, maintaining records, and supporting other offices as business needs require

Required Qualifications:
- MA certification by the state in which employed
- CPR certified
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others
Preferred Qualification:
- Complete a 9-month MA program
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 - $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
