Job Summary
Up to $5,000 SOB for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months
Full Time, Rotate- FT rotating days and evenings, with an every other weekend component
Provides services to medical, nursing and pharmacy staff. Responsible for providing all aspects of pharmaceutical care assuring a positive patient outcome. The Pharmacists must be skilled in screening for all age/dosage/disease dependent variations and be alert for improper dosages, drug interactions, and play a major role in drug monitoring. This person shall possess excellent communication skills and be an active participant with physicians and fellow health care workers.
Responsibilities
- Performs duties to assure quality drug therapy.
- Performs quality assurance procedures as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals and as assigned by the pharmacy director, pharmacy manager, and/or clinical coordinator.
- Maintains education standards as required by state law and hospital policy and procedures.
- Works with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to maintain collaborative relationship with pharmacy
Qualifications
EDUCATION
- Minimum: BS-Pharmacy
- Preferred: PharmD degree
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum: Previous hospital pharmacy experience.
- Preferred: Three (3)years of acute care hospital pharmacy experience.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION
- Current Florida Pharmacist Licensure
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in hospital or related health facility

As both a community hospital and state-designated Level I Trauma Center, Delray Medical Center offers several specialized services including advanced cardiac and vascular facilities, orthopedics, neurosciences, emergency care and weight-loss surgery. Pinecrest Rehabilitation and Outpatient Hospital at Delray Medical Center is the only state designated brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation program in the county by the State of Florida.
