Job Summary
JOB SUMMARY:
The EMS Liaison performs both field and administrative responsibilities, including providing clinical and operational information to key stakeholders. This role manages communication with external partners such as EMS agencies and healthcare providers and leaders. Additionally, the liaison plans, promotes, and participates in educational events to support community engagement and organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Establishes and aligns departmental goals, standards, and objectives with organizational strategy.
- Evaluates patient care quality and coordinates services across patients, staff, physicians, and departments.
- Oversees departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, contracts, and vendor relationships.
- Represents the organization within the EMS community, promoting services and fostering strong partnerships.
- Leads EMS outreach, marketing, and engagement efforts, including presentations and relationship management with providers.
- Analyzes EMS market data, tracks performance, and adjusts strategies to maintain a competitive and high-quality program.
- Serves as a liaison for external partners, managing customer service concerns, contracts, and access to systems and resources.
- Responsible for managing base hospital agreements and ensuring ongoing program compliance with all regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Supports strategic planning, quality improvement initiatives, educational events, and special projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic Program.
- Experience: 3 - 5 years of Emergency Medical Services
- Certifications: Emergency Medical Technician certification and licensure of EMT-B or EMT-P
- Preferred:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or other healthcare related field
- Experience: 2 years of direct patient care
