Job Summary
Job Shift: Nights
Job Type: Per Diem
The ER Technician I functions under the direct supervision of the Staff Nurse, Department Director, Clinical Manager of Emergency Department, and physician(s). He/she assists with patient care by performing clinical & supportive functions that he/she has documented competency to perform. The ER Technician adheres to policy, procedures & established standards of practice.
Responsibilities
- The ER Technician assists in providing continuum of patient care under the direction of nurses, clinical manager, director, and physicians.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Vocational School/Specialized Training
EXPERIENCE:
- None required.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:
- State of Florida EMT or CNA;
- BLS issued under AHA;
- CPI within three (3) months of hire into position.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Successfully completes EKG competency within three (3) months of hire into position
