Job SummaryThe Enterprise Imaging Cardiology Manager is responsible for advancing cardiology imaging operations, technology platforms, and clinical workflows across a large, multi-site healthcare organization. This role serves as the enterprise subject matter expert for invasive and non-invasive cardiology imaging, partnering with executive leadership, physicians, operational teams, IT, and vendors to drive standardization, system optimization, interoperability, and service line growth. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, financial stewardship, the ability to manage complex enterprise initiatives, and the capacity to thrive in the fast-paced environment of a large organization while improving physician satisfaction, patient experience, operational performance, and organizational outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise governance, roadmap planning, prioritization, change control, implementations, upgrades, migrations, integrations, and optimization efforts for cardiology imaging applications and workflows.
- Drive physician and stakeholder adoption through workflow standardization, change management, training readiness, communication planning, and post-implementation support.
- Oversee interoperability initiatives including HL7 interfaces, data exchange, image sharing, and integration with enterprise clinical systems.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and application teams to support reliable system performance, availability, business continuity, downtime planning, disaster recovery readiness, and appropriate user access controls.
- Partner with vendors and technical teams to troubleshoot complex applications, servers, networks, and workflow-related issues.
- Support regulatory compliance, accreditation requirements, patient safety initiatives, and enterprise quality standards.
- Present operational, financial, and project updates to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Assist with development, management, and monitoring of operating and capital budgets supporting cardiology imaging technologies and services.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across enterprise cardiology imaging functions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively increasing leadership responsibility within cardiology, imaging, healthcare technology, or healthcare operations.
- Extensive experience in both invasive cardiology, including Cath Lab, Electrophysiology, and Structural Heart, and non-invasive cardiology, including Echocardiography, Stress Testing, Nuclear Cardiology, and Vascular Imaging.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Cardiovascular Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Information Systems, Business Administration, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field; equivalent leadership, clinical, or healthcare technology experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience leading large-scale enterprise projects, technology initiatives, and organizational change efforts.
- Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment within a large, complex, multi-site organization.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with physicians, operational leaders, and executive leadership teams.
- Experience with budget planning, financial management, capital projects, and vendor management.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational excellence to include standardization and customer service.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Clinical background as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), or experience as a PACS Administrator supporting cardiology imaging applications and workflows preferred.
- Direct experience with GE MacLab, Philips Xper, and Change Healthcare Hemodynamic and Recording and Documentation systems. Direct experience with GE Centricity Cardio Workflow, Philips IntelliSpace Cardiovascular, Fuji Synapse, and Change Healthcare cardiology imaging and reporting solutions, including implementation, optimization, migration, integration, and support of invasive and non-invasive cardiology workflows.
- Experience with Cerner Millenium Cardiology modules is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of HL7 integrations, interoperability, image exchange, and clinical data workflows preferred.
- Technical knowledge of server infrastructure, networking, system architecture, and healthcare application environments strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing executive-ready documents, presentations, reports, meeting materials, and project communications.
- Travel up to 30% required to support operational, strategic, and technology initiatives. Selected candidate will be required to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check.
- Participates in an on-call rotation as needed to support critical enterprise imaging applications and operational continuity.
- Frequent interaction with executive leadership, physicians, clinical teams, technical resources, and vendor partners.
- Position requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, tight deadlines, and complex enterprise initiatives simultaneously.
