Job Summary
Shift: Rotate
Job Type: Full Time
Hours:
Responsible for the leadership and oversight of the Environmental Services (EVS) team at the hospital and off sites. The role involves managing day-to-day departmental operations, supervising staff, coordinating projects, and ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance of all assigned areas. The position exercises discretion and independent judgment in managing personnel, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality environmental services that support infection prevention and patient safety. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- A.S. or equivalent preferred
Experience:
- 1 - 2 years Supervisorial
- 3 - 5 years
Skill and Knowledge:
• Supervisorial skills including interviewing, organizing, planning and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of hospital infection control, sanitation protocols and cleaning methods.
• Must have a valid California driver license.
• Must be able to get along with others, give and accept instructions and suggestions.
• Must be able to comprehend and absorb new work methods.
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be fluent in spoken and written English with proficient writing skills.
• Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
