Healthcare Economics Consultant - 2374851EMPLOYER: Optum Services Inc.
JOB TITLE: Healthcare Economics Consultant
LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)
DUTIES: Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments across Azure resources and workloads to identify risks and ensure compliance with organizational standards; Apply network security best practices (NSGs, firewalls, private endpoints) by adhering to company compliance standards and Azure Policy for governance; Design and deploy Azure Infrastructure using Terraform/Terragrunt for automated and consistent provisioning. Maintain modular and reusable Terraform/Terragrunt templates with version control and peer review processes; Collaborate with development teams to implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Streamline container workflows by automating Docker image creation/customization and publishing to Azure Container Registry; Implement CI/CD using GitHub Actions for Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake to enable seamless deployment across environments; Configure and maintain services like Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Key Vault, Storage Accounts, and AKS clusters; Identify program deviance from standards, and suggest modifications to ensure compliance; Support teams in troubleshooting and optimizing ADF deployment automation; Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks; Asses existing Snowflake accounts, storage structures, databases, schemas, and object dependencies to identify migration and optimization opportunities; Recommend cost-saving measures such as resource right-sizing and reserved capacity; Deploy and manage Apache Airflow on AKS with proper scaling and resilience; and Automate operational tasks using YAML, PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python scripts. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S.
REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or related field and 2 years experience in the position or a DevOps-related position. Position requires 2 years experience in each of the following: Microsoft Azure and Azure Administration including Azure Data Factory; Azure Kubernetes Service and Azure Container registry, Terraform/Terragrunt; Azure Databricks; Python; Github; YAML; Powershell; Snowflake administration; CI/CD for Azure Services including Datafactory, Databricks, and Snowflake; and Docker.
RATE OF PAY: $106,579.00-$147,042.00/ per year
