Description
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Wealth Investment team at Mercer, a Marsh business. This role can be based in Chicago, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Los Angeles, King of Prussia, New York, Boston, Norwalk, or Atlanta and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.This is expected to be a client-facing Investment Consulting role that will work primarily with Mercer's Healthcare clients.
As a Healthcare Investment Consultant, you will work closely with internal teams to support a book of non-profit healthcare clients and touch a variety of different portfolio types, including operating pools, foundations, insurance reserves, defined benefit plans, and defined contribution plans. You will be responsible for helping clients create sound investment strategies aimed at meeting their operational, growth, and asset goals, while ensuring adequate liquidity is maintained.
We will count on you to:
- Work with clients' staff, investment committees, and boards to deliver a spectrum of investment advice and solutions
- Analyze markets, investment managers, portfolios, and investment performance
- Leverage your expertise to design, develop, deliver, and communicate investment solutions for clients
- Collaborate across internal teams on investment strategy, portfolio management, research, marketing, sales, and consulting practice
- Mentor junior colleagues in their career development
- Engage with clients and prospective clients to grow the breadth of services we deliver to help them advance their missions
What you need to have:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in a field relevant
- 5-7 years of relevant experience with a proven track record of excellent client service
- Self-motivation with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team
- Skilled at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain the big-picture perspective
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $88,000 to $176,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
