Job Summary

Full Time Days

Up to $5,000 SOB for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months

The Laboratory Supervisor provides laboratory services to meet the needs of patients performed in compliance with all applicable regulation, standards and practices. Directs, supervises and coordinates functions and activities in any or all areas assigned and in which a professional license is held. Plans, organizes and supervises the activities of all employees in areas of supervision to assure the prompt efficient, accurate and cost effective delivery of clinical laboratory information, test results, and services. Ensures the delivery of quality
laboratory services which meets the standards of practice, established policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations at West Boca Medical Center and/or off site at West Boca Medical Center Emergency Care at Coconut Creek. Assists in the administration of the laboratory department. Coordinates a wide variety of administrative, fiscal and technical activities to ensure efficient operation of all clinical laboratories. A Supervisor adheres to the legal responsibilities and scope of practice as written by the Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel, State of Florida. The Laboratory Supervisor's role subsumes all aspects of the Medical Technologist's role.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Bachelor degree, Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor license in specific area(s) supervised and/or Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist license in other areas.

Preferred:

• Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of clinical laboratory supervisor experience in multiple technical areas in an acute care hospital laboratory.
• Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor license in an all five areas.

Must successfully pass a color blindness test prior to employment.

West Boca Medical Center (WBMC) is part of the Palm Beach Health Network and has been serving southern Palm Beach and northern Broward counties for over 37 years. WBMC offers general medical and surgical care, orthopedics, a robotic surgery program, a state-of-the art breast imaging center, womens and childrens services and the only level III NICU in southern Palm Beach County.
