Job Summary
Performs patient treatments as indicated by the treatment plan. Documents treatments given, including frequent and objective measurements. Works with pediatric through geriatric patients with clinical competency. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Associates Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant. Active U. S. military service
members or veterans with any military service, training or education verified and credited by an accredited PTA program is acceptable.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: NA
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: No previous work experience needed.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Previous PTA experience in inpatient/outpatient settings
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State license
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: See Preferred Certification Listing
REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life
Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
