Job Summary
Under minimal supervision, performs complex diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. Produces high quality diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of MRI
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associate's Degree in Allied Health or Bachelor's Degree and certification in another clinical imaging field
Experience:
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 6 months in Magnetic Resonance Imaging with supervised clinical experience; Possesses working knowledge of cross section anatomy and MR pathology
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 2-5 years in MRI
Certifications:
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology or (ARMRIT) registry eligible according to ACR guidelines. Must be registered as a MR Technologist within one year post graduation of accredited school. If Registered with ARRT in ionizing radiation, must possess current Texas Medical Board (TMB) license. Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: ARRT in MRI
