As the first and largest children's hospital in Michigan and a U.S. News & World Report-ranked facility, CHM offers an academic platform with national reach and real institutional support. Why Detroit
Detroit is a city in the middle of a compelling comeback - with a revitalized downtown, a thriving food and arts scene, and a fierce civic pride that's hard to find anywhere else. The cost of living is well below the national average, which means your compensation goes further here than in most major metros, and the surrounding suburbs offer excellent schools and a strong sense of community. The region sits at the heart of the Great Lakes, putting world-class fishing, boating, and outdoor recreation within easy reach, and Chicago is a short drive when you want a big-city weekend. For physicians who want to do meaningful work in a place with real character and genuine momentum, Detroit delivers.
