Detroit is a city in the midst of a genuine renaissance - a compelling blend of grit, creativity, and civic pride that draws physicians who want to live somewhere with real character and real community. The cost of living is among the most favorable of any major metro, with outstanding housing value whether you prefer the walkable neighborhoods of Midtown and Corktown or the spacious suburbs of Oakland and Wayne counties. The region offers exceptional dining, a thriving arts scene anchored by the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and easy access to the waterfront, lakes, and the natural beauty of northern Michigan. For physicians who want meaningful urban practice without sacrificing quality of life, Detroit consistently delivers.
