Job Summary
Up to $25,000 Sign-On bonus based on experience
Shift: 8HR Day Shift
Job type: Full Time
Hours: Monday-Friday, hours can range from 7:30am to 5:30pm depending on clinic days (not set)
Under the supervision of the Radiologist, the Radiologic Technologist shall provide radiographic services to patients. The technologist shall operate imaging equipment, prepare radiographic exam rooms, and maintain equipment and supplies. The radiologic technologist's performance and behavior shall be both reflective and supportive of the Mission Statement and Core Values of the hospital. Demographic information limited Patient Health Information as related to job function.
Responsibilities
- Adheres to DRMC's Service Standards and ICON's Practice Standards
- The radiology technologist's performance and behavior shall be both reflective and supportive of the Mission Statement and Core Values of the hospital.
- Rad Tech shall operate imaging equipment, uploading to electronic systems, prepare x-ray exam rooms, maintain equipment & supplies, and Q/A testing
- Positions patient under x-ray machine, adjusts immobilization devices, and affixes lead shields to protect unaffected areas.
- Transfers patient safely to exam table and provides for patient safety by providing appropriate monitoring/ visualization during exam
- Respects patient privacy, provides for adequate body coverage with gown/blankets, and eliminates unnecessary people/ personnel in exam room.
- Prepares and maintains records of services rendered within Electronic Medical Record System.
- Pulls X-Rays as required for referrals and/or copying.
- Performs duties to achieve or exceed established service standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited two year school of Radiologic Technology,
- ARRT Registration, state and fluoroscopy licensure required.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with patients, physicians, visitors, and other staff members.
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification required (maintain current at all times).
- State of California fluoroscopic permit, exam eligible within 90 days.
Preferred:
- Experience in a Radiologic setting.
