Job Summary
Shift: Rotate
Job Type: Part Time
Provides respiratory care to patients. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Respiratory Manager/Director. The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) Diagnostic provides services to inpatients and outpatients as directed by physicians. Essential tasks include but are not limited to: Medical gas administration, medication administration, patient assessment, arterial/venous blood gas sampling and analysis, arterial line cannulations, pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assisting, and equipment and supply management. The RCP Diagnostic maintains departmental appearance, documents in the EMR under respiratory care, and updates the multidisciplinary plan of care as appropriate. The RCP Diagnostic assists with data collection for process improvement, monitoring, and reporting.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA accredited respiratory care program
- RCP or equivalent State licensure
- RRT
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NRP
- Minimum 1 year experience with Complete Pulmonary Function Testing and Bronchoscopy Assisting.
- CPFT / RPFT preferred
